Prior to purchasing the Hoover Windtunnel Vacuum, I was using the little Roomba (~$110) and an upright Sharq (~$45). The Roomba was great for our hardwood floors, and the Sharq really wasn't good for anything.
My Hoover is quite a machine! After my first use, I noticed that a quarter of the canister was full of dust and dirt picked up from around my house. Amazing.
The only complaint that I would have is that it is quite heavy.
